To cope with the cold, dispel external pathogens, boost the wei qi, warm the middle jiao, try the following receipe.

1/2 lemon (sliced)

1 garlic clove (crushed)

2 Slices ginger root.

Pinch of dried chilli powder

Place in a small saucepan, Cover with 2 cups of water. Bring to the boil and then simmer for 5 minutes. Strain into a cup. Add honey to taste. Drink half and save half for later.

Retire under a warm duvet for best effect.
