To learn more about these key areas and what this program can do for your overall health & wellness please click on the sections below;

One of the key indicators that we use to measure our clients success with our natural weight loss program is BMI (Body Mass Index) and this is a good indicator of reduction in body fat. It is a calculation that is based upon your height and weight and it is a good way to gauge your success program. However there
are some other indicators that are of vital importance too.

Some other key areas we assess are your;body-mass-index

  • Body Mass Index
  • Body Fat Content
  • Body Muscle Mass
  • Body Water Content
  • Body Bone Mass
  • Basal Metabolic Rate

The reason we use a number of variables is that as you exercise you can build muscle and this may keep your weight stable while your fat content may actually reduce. So we measure these to compare your before and after success.

Some of the comments that participants have made is that their weight hasn’t changed but their clothes are looser and they have regained their shape!

Women spend a lot of time, effort and money on making sure that their hair looks great and when I was creating this program I spoke to a lot of my female friends to see what was important to them and you guessed it hair was up there among the most important things that they wanted!

Many women think that the problems that they experience with their hair is actually to do with dyes, better-hairbleaches and many other factors and a huge industry has built up around products that claim to address these issues, but I have some startling news for you – YOU ARE WASTING YOUR MONEY!

Why would I dare to say such a thing you might ask. Well this program is about restoring your Internal Climate and making your body work better, so do you think that your hair is separate from your body? Every hair on your head needs nutrients and blood and if they don’t get these what do you think happens? Think of a plant that you don’t water, eventually it begins to dry up, the leaves lose their shine, start to wither and eventually they begin to crack and then break off – are you seeing the connection?

My background is in Traditional Chinese Medicine and in this system the Liver, Kidneys and Spleen all have a role in the quality of your hair. Have you heard of someone who gets a shock and their hair falls out or suddenly goes grey? Well if you have then this is an example of shock affecting the kidneys and causing the hair problems. So with this program we look to make these essential organs work better and as such support your hair.

Diet:

Our Nutritional Information Guide is unique in that it is designed not to make you into a Nutritionist, it teaches you how to strategically use the foods you eat to support your body and health objectives based upon the assessments we provide. There is no calorie counting, no weekly weigh in’s, just a common sense approach to addressing your specific health needs.

Herbal Nutrients:

The herbal nutrients that are included when you sign up to this 10 week program are designed to make your body work more efficiently and address many health issues that are going on below the surface. Yes they encourage your loss of excess weight but how they do it is the key, they regulate the systems that fail and cause you to have health problems, one of which is weight gain. We don’t put a plaster over the problem we address the root cause!

This is a health program that has many benefits, one of which is weight loss or weight management but we do it in a different way, we make your body work better from the inside out!

Quick question: What is the largest organ in your body?

OK since we are in the clearer skin section you might have figured out the answer already, but many people don’t actually know this, your skin accounts for 6% to 10% of your total weight and has a surface
clearer-skin-2area of around 21 feet.

So why do we get problems with our skin? Before I answer that I want to remind you that everything we experience on the outside of our body is related to imbalances on the inside. So lets take a look at a few of the organs on the inside that could cause this (remember I am a Complementary Medical Professional so I am not looking symptomatically as my conventional counterparts do) I look to address the root cause of health problems.

Toxins: Well if your body is full of toxins (poisons) where do they go? Well your body will try to excrete them and one of our organs for excretion is our skin. If we are overloaded with toxins then you will experience problems with our skin, from simple spots to full blown acne and many more conditions.

Our large intestine is all about processing our waste, what do you think happens if it isn’t functioning correctly? Yes we get problems with our bowels but we can also get bad breath, bloating and you guessed it skin problems!

Another two huge players where toxicity is concerned are our kidneys and our liver, these organs are the filters of our bodies. The liver filters our blood and you guessed it, our skin needs blood, and our kidneys filter fluids and your skin needs fluids too. So if these organs aren’t working correctly, what do you think the result is? OK if you didn’t guess I will tell you, YOU WILL HAVE SKIN PROBLEMS!clearer-skin-1

Hormones: How many people have been told that their Acne is hormone related and told to put on lots of creams and lotions. Well hows about look at the organs that regulate our hormones? One big player is our liver which plays a HUGE role in hormone regulation as well as production. Did you know that your liver produces estrogen (think periods & period problems)

Hydration: Do you remember the plant example I mentioned earlier? Well your skin needs fluids and these fluids are not tea, coffee, wine or fizzy drinks. Your skin needs water, well actually your whole body needs it. So what is the result of drinking fresh, clean water on your skin? Think of what happens when you don’t water your plant, the leaves dry (psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis), wither (wrinkles) and many more conditions. If you properly hydrate and regulate the systems that influence your skin you can dramatically reduce problems in this area and that’s what this program is about.

The problems you may experience with your skin are most likely driven by imbalances in your Internal Climate, so to fix the outside you must address the issues on the inside! Apply all the moisturisers you want and spend a fortune on anti wrinkle cream but these are just sticking plasters that don’t address the root cause. If you want the outside to be radiant then the inside needs to be squeaky clean too!

Nails can be a thing of beauty or a source of anguish for many women, from brittle nails to fungal infections or split cuticles many women struggle when trying to achieve the perfect look.healthier-nails

As with any any part of your body, your nails need nourishment in the forms of vitamins and minerals and if your diet is less than optimal it is highly likely that you are deficient and one area that will be effected is your nails. Vitamins such as Vitamin H (Biotin) and Vitamin C as well as the minerals Zinc and Iron are very important when it comes to nail health. So if you are deficient in any of these then your nails will begin to suffer and if you don’t address the deficiencies you will never have the nails that you desire.

All of these Vitamins & Minerals can be found in a well balanced diet and when you join our program and use our Nutritional Information Guide as a way to choose your foods not only will you be addressing your weight issues you will also be giving your body an abundance of the nutrients it needs to make your nails strong and healthy. The Herbal Nutrient part of our program provides your body with these nutrients over the course of our 10 week program, thereafter your diet will supply all that you need.

Beyond Nutrition: In Traditional Chinese Medicine the organ that influences your nail strength and growth is your liver, the liver governs ligaments and tendons and your nails in TCM terms are regarded as being influenced directly by this organ. So when you have a liver that is burdened with toxins your nails will suffer.

As I have mentioned before this is a natural weight loss program with a difference, our goal is to help you take control of your Internal Climate by regulating all the organs that contribute to ill health and not being able to manage your weight certainly is not a healthy condition. So whether it is weight gain or nail problems that are your biggest concern, they are simply a reflection of what is going on inside your body. We help you to regain control and when you do you will see the benefits on the outside as well as feeling great on the inside!

When we look great we feel great and this makes us feel more confident. So when you join this program and you start to make your body function better and you start to lose weight there is a very strong possibility confident-womanthat your confidence levels will come up, couple that with all the other benefits that this program has and you really have a winning combination.

Uravelling The Mind Body Connection

I would like to go a little further and give you some insights into how your confidence can be undermined by the condition of your body. It is well established that your mind and body are not two separate entities, they are connected and finally conventional medicine is seeing that these connections exist.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine they figured this out thousands of years ago. But the key to the mind body relationship went as far a understanding which organs are related to which emotions. Below I will summarise these relationships;

Lungs – Disappointment, Sadness, Grief, Despair, Shame.
Large Intestine – Letting go of negative (waste) emotions.
Heart – Nervousness, Anxiety, Craving, Guilt.
Liver – Anger, Depression, Resentment, Jealousy, Rage.
Gallbladder – Indecision, Timidity, Recklessness.
Small Intestine – Inability to process information.
Kidneys – Fear, Loneliness, Insecurity, Shock, Lack of confidence
Bladder – Jealousy, Suspicion, Holding Grudges, Being Pi&^ed off
Spleen – Worry, Regret, Self Doubt
Stomach – Insomnia, Anxiety, Violence

Whether you agree with the above or not, it is certainly food for thought. These relationships between our organs and our emotions have been understood and used therapeutically for thousands of years in China to address many physical and emotional problems.

This program is about restoring your Internal Climate and making your body work better. When you make your organs function correctly then you can make your emotions run smoother as well as helping you regain your health and lose weight in the process!

A lot of my female friends are mums and one of the big things for them is their energy levels, they have kids hanging out of them looking to do this or that, never have a moments peace and fall into bed exhausted every night only to face it all again the next day. Even my friends who don’t have kids are often exhausted after work and fall onto the couch after dinner and just watch the soaps. And with a lot of my increased-energy-2friends there is a struggle to achieve or maintain a healthy weight and they just don’t feel great on the inside!

So when I was developing this program I looked at what could be going on inside that could be causing problems and I wanted a way to look at this.

Energy Production or Lack Thereof!

All parts of the body (muscles, brain, heart, and liver) need energy to work. This energy comes from the food we eat and if we eat the wrong foods well you can guess what happens.

Our bodies digest the food we eat by mixing it with fluids (acids and enzymes) in the stomach. When the stomach digests food, the carbohydrate (sugars and starches) in the food breaks down into another type of sugar, called glucose.

The stomach and small intestines absorb the glucose and then release it into the bloodstream. Once in the bloodstream, glucose can be used immediately for energy or stored in our bodies, to be used later.

However, our bodies need insulin in order to use or store glucose for energy. Without insulin, glucose stays in the bloodstream, keeping blood sugar levels high.

Insulin is made in another organ called the pancreas and as we eat foods our blood sugar levels increase and the pancreas releases insulin. When insulin is released from the pancreas, it travels through the bloodstream to the body’s cells and tells the cell walls to open up to let the glucose in. Once inside, the cells convert glucose into energy to use right then or store it to use later. This energy is called ATP and it is our key to sustained energy throughout the day.

As glucose moves from the bloodstream into the cells, blood sugar levels start to drop. The cells in the pancreas can tell this is happening, so they slow down the amount of insulin they’re making. At the same time, the pancreas slows down the amount of insulin that it’s releasing into the bloodstream. When this happens, the amount of glucose going into the cells also slows down.

So this brings me to the point of this section. No matter what we eat, if our body’s cannot regulate our blood sugar and insulin levels then we are doomed to feeling tired and having no energy – simple. So rather than looking at just your diet, we look to regulate these systems.

Vitamin B6 is hugely important in our body to produce energy as it helps to convert glycogen to glucoseincreased-energy to be converted to energy in our cells.

Iodine is important for our thyroid as well as cellular metabolism (converting food to energy)

Chromium helps to convert the foods we eat into sugars and helps insulin to properly transport these sugars to our cells.

L-Tyrosine is an amino acid that helps to create our thyroid hormone (thyroxine, T4) and this is important for our metabolic rate (the rate at which we convert sugars etc)

These are just a few examples of what we need to produce energy, so if you are missing any of these and the systems that regulate our metabolism are not function correctly then no matter what you eat you will be tired! So rather than just tell you to cut out carbs or just eat apples all day for 10 weeks, we look to support the normal healthy function of your energy production internally.

When when you couple this approach with a normal, sensible diet that is focused on your Internal Climate you can start to produce an abundance of energy that will carry you through the day and beyond!

Stress is something we all experience from time to time and for most it’s not a pleasant experience. It can keep us awake at night leaving us exhausted, we can feel like the world is closing in on us but what if I was to say to you that the stress you feel could be caused in part, if not totally, by problems with your Internal Climate? Would that mean that if you were to change your Internal Climate that you would feel less reduced-stressstressed – well yes it would. This program cannot stop your boss from putting you under pressure or the interest rates going up, but what it can do is help you to deal with these stress factors in a better way.

In the More Energy section I mentioned an amino acid called L-Tyrosine and it is a precursor to a number of neurotransmitters, including l-dopa, dopamine, norepinehrine and epinephrine. These are important contributors to mood, cognitive performance as well as combating stress.  So if we are missing this then we can be more prone to stress.

The same applies to magnesium, when we are deficient in magnesium we are more prone to stress and when we have plenty of magnesium we handle stress better. Where do we get magnesium, you guessed it, from our foods. But what depletes our body of this vital mineral? Refined sugar is not only a zero magnesium product but it also causes the body to excrete magnesium through the kidneys. The process of producing refined sugar from sugar cane removes molasses, stripping the magnesium content entirely.

Again this is simply a summary to indicate that stress has many causes, some are external which we cannot easily change, whereas others are internal, meaning that they are totally within our control. If we make sure that our body has enough of what it needs we can not only manage our weight, we can manage our stress levels.

As you read this information I hope that you will see that this program is not just about weight loss, it is about health and well being, it is about making your body work better, making you feel better and look great from the inside out!

Being able to think clearly, make decisions and just feel on top of your game mentally is a challenge that many women, that I have spoken to, face on a daily basis. From managing a career and a home and family life to juggling school runs and after school activities along with everything else thats going on can be mental-claritychallenging to say the least. So if you cant think clearly it makes all this more of a struggle.

But what can cause us to lose our ability to think clearly?  In the section on this page called “More Confidence” I looked at the mind body connection as well as looking at how our internal organs are related to our emotions from a Traditional Chinese Medicine Perspective. In the “Reduced Stress” section I looked at how L-Thyrosine is one amino acid responsible for the production of our happy hormones. I also looked at magnesium and how deficiency can lead us to being more prone to stress.

So now what I would like you to do is think for a moment. If you are deficient in magnesium, are not producing enough happy hormones and if you have internal organ problems and experience the emotional issues related to the organs from the TCM model then how in gods name would you have clarity of thoughts? You wont!

I hope that you can see that there is a pattern emerging on this page, a series of relationships that are becoming apparent as you read. If we have underlying organ, hormone, mineral or vitamin deficiencies they will cause problems in many areas from our weight, to our mind to all parts of the body.

So if we want to address these areas we need to look at restoring normal function in all these areas, we need to fix our Internal Climate!

This is where this program stands out from all other programs you will see. We work at the deepest level in your body first, then we work our way out. Fix the inside first and then effectively address the external issues. Using this approach you have the greatest chance of success!

Bloating is a problem that many women experience, some just around the time of their periods while others suffer constantly throughout the month. Bloating is such a common problem that many women bloatingsimply accept it as part of their lives while in truth it is yet another indicator that your Inner Climate is not as it should be, every symptom we experience on the outside is simply a reflection of an imbalance on the inside and this is the key to you understanding your body and taking control of your health.

So what causes bloating? well there are many potential causes and your digestive system is obviously one, but I will cover that in the next section. For this section I will focus specifically on bloating and some potential contributors;

Diet & Inflammation:

Well unless our foods contain a sufficient about of plant based fibre it can lead to an accumulation of food in our gut leading to a sensation of bloating, however if we have inflammation within our digestive system (think gastritis, colitis, diverticulitis, chron’s. These are all inflammatory conditions and basically  any condition with an “itis” at the end is inflammation) we can experience bloating at any time of the month.

We can also have a build up of toxins within our gut, which will slow down our bowel function and lead to a build up and sensation of bloating too. So our diet is a huge factor that we need to consider if we are suffering the ill effects of bloating at any time of the month.

Fluid Retention:

Many women retain a lot of fluid and for some this is most apparent at that time of the month. Well the movement of fluids in and out of our cells is a vital and normal function. But if you are deficient of Magnesium your cells fluid balance can become interrupted leading to fluid retention in cells and surrounding tissues.

Another major factor in fluid retention is your Kidneys, these regulate the water in your entire body and if these are not functioning as they should you can experience this problem. Cystitis, Kidney Infections, Urinary Tract Problems, Urine Retention and Bladder Inflammation are all signs that there is a problem with your water works!

Another piece of this jigsaw puzzle is your Thyroid, if you are deficient of minerals and trace elements such a potassium, magnesium, calcium, Iron and Iodine your Thyroid cannot produce Thyroid Hormones and these are responsible for the normal function of your cells and the elimination of waste at a cellular level. So if your cells cannot move toxins out they will accumulate waste as well as water, leading to this problem. We have all known someone with a thyroid problem that has huge problems with their weight. Ensuring that your thyroid is functioning optimally is essential for overall health and well being!

So what I hope that you are getting from this section is that there are many contributors that can lead to bloating and unless these causes are addressed and your Inner Climate is restored you will always experience this problem. This program looks to address the causative factors by addressing the deficiencies that exist in your body, teaching you how to eat foods that address your body’s specific needs and thereby restoring your Internal Climate. A by product of this is that you can lose or manage your weight more effectively and for the long term!

Digestive conditions are so common among women and you would be astounded if you knew just how many. Our digestive systems are so important to all areas of out health yet many people literally haven’t a clue what’s really going on in there. Inflammation in the digestive system is a huge problem and improved-digestionundermines so many peoples health. Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) is a huge problem with many sufferers and conventional medicine offering little support. So in this section I will give you an overview of the passage of food from our mouth onwards and explain what each stage is, discuss some issues and some possible contributing causes.

Stomach:

This is the beginning of our digestive process, food enters and the break down process begins. Hydrochloric Acid (HCL) in the stomach begins the process and begins breaking our foods down into sugars. If the acid levels in your stomach aren’t correct then you cannot do this and your risk of bacterial and parasitic infections increases. Beatine HCL is an acidic form of Beatine, found in grains and other foods can help to provide the acid needed for digestion. If you don’t have enough HCL you cannot break down foods, especially proteins.

Small Intestine:

This is the first place where the absorption of nutrients from our food happens. 90% of all the absorption happens here with the other 10% happening in the stomach and large intestine. Digestion involves two distinct parts. The first is mechanical digestion by chewing, grinding, churning and mixing that takes place in the mouth and the stomach. The second part of digestion is the chemical digestion that uses enzymes, bile acids (liver & gallbladder) etc. in order to break down food material into a form that can then be absorbed, then assimilated into the tissues of the body. Chemical digestion occurs in the small intestine and, to a lesser extent, also in some other parts of the gastrointestinal tract. If you don’t have enough digestive enzymes or if your liver function is impaired then this process begins to fail as proteins, peptides and amino acids are acted upon by enzymes such as trypsin and chymotrypsin, secreted by the pancreas. This breaks them down to smaller peptides. Chemical breakdown begins in the stomach and continues until the large intestine.

Enzymes, like lipases secreted from the pancreas, act on fats and lipids in diet. This breaks the triglycerides into free fatty acids. It is helped by bile salts secreted by the liver and the gall bladder. The bile salts hold the triglycerides in the watery environment until the lipase can break them into the smaller parts that can enter the intestinal villi for absorption.

Vitamins including fat soluble ones (Vitamins A, D, E and K) are absorbed together with dietary fats. Water soluble vitamins like vitamins B and C are absorbed by diffusion. Vitamin B12 combined with intrinsic factor (from the stomach) is absorbed by active transport.

Absorption – Once broken down the nutrients are absorbed by the inner walls of the small intestine into the blood stream. The nutrients are rendered small enough so that they may pass, or “be transported”, across the epithelial cells of the gastrointestinal tract. The small intestine is good for absorption since it has a large inner surface area. This is formed due to the plicae circulares which project many tiny finger-like structures of tissue called villi.

Large Intestine:

Though actually smaller than our small intestine but just as important. Our large intestine is hugely involved in our immune system as well as being the final part of the absorption of nutrients and water from our digested food.

The Little World Inside Us:

Our entire digestive process is dependent upon an unseen army of tens of trillions of bacteria who work tirelessly to convert our foods into useful nutrients and assist foods passage through our body. If you were to weight them all the would account for 2kg of your weight and there are more of them than there are cells in your body.

So what does our program do for your digestive health?

Well if you want to get or stay healthy, lose or maintain a healthy weight then one of the first places we need to look is your digestive health. If this isn’t working then nothing else will, so that’s why it is so important in our program. When you join us we will assess your digestive health and the Herbal Nutrient component of this program looks to restore health digestive function, providing you with both digestive enzymes as well as pro biotic cultures to ensure that you absorb all the nutrients you need from your food. We want to reduce inflammation, ease the gut wall, stop spasmsreduce flatulence, increase your immunity and eliminate and parasites or bad bacteria that are in your gut.

I keep mentioning your Internal Climate and as you have progressed through each section on this page I am hoping that you are seeing that every part of our body is related from our nails and hair to our digestive system and beyond. Only through restoration of normal healthy internal functions can we truly achieve the health and weight we desire!

Hormones, hormones, hormones these elusive little things that can cause everything from food cravings to PMT, mood swings and emotional outbursts to hair on your face, WEIGHT GAIN etc etc etc. These really can be the bane of some women’s lives. But what is the common denominator in all that I mentioned in the first sentence of this paragraph? These all happen when our hormones are out of balance!

It seems logical to me that if we want to address all of these symptoms of hormone problems that we molecules-2address the cause and not the manifestation of the problem. In the “Clearer Skin” section I looked at the liver as being a big player in the hormone area, so addressing problems the liver function will have a dramatic effect on how your hormones are regulated and estrogen levels can improve. In the section “Increased Energy” I mentioned that Iodine can help to regulate our Thyroid function as well as L-Tyrosine which is important for the creation of thyroxine (T4) and both of these are crucial elements of successfully managing our weight. I also mentioned L-Tyrosine in the section “Reduced Stress” as when we are deficient of this amino acid our production on happy hormones reduces and what happens when we are unhappy, yes you guessed it, we turn to our comfort foods!

A huge player in our hormonal system is the hypothalamus and it is a section of the brain responsible for the production of many of the body’s essential hormones, chemical substances that help control different cells and organs. The hormones from the hypothalamus govern physiologic functions such as temperature regulation, thirst, hunger, sleep, mood, sex drive, and the release of other hormones within the body. This area of the brain houses the pituitary gland and other glands in the body. Some of the hypothalamic hormones include growth hormone and dopamine (happy hormone) which I mentioned in the “Reduced Stress” section and that L-Thyosine encourages the production of dopamine, would this not imply that it has a  beneficial effect on the hypothalamus?

Our body and all its functions are not individual and in isolation, I have covered quite a bit in the sections on this page and I am hoping that you are seeing that there is a real overlap between all our functions and that addressing something like nail problems can have wide reaching effect on our stress levels, energy production, hormonal systems as well as weight loss.

This is why I talk about your Inner Climate, it is not about just looking at one part of your body in isolation, no more than a climate can affect just one part of your town or city, it affects the entire country or continent. Only when we look at the bigger picture and address the underlying problems can we address our health issues and in the case of losing weight, it is only when we take this view that we can truly achieve the weight we want permanently!

So now we come to a section that is very important when it comes to weight loss and is actually equally important for weight gain. Lets start with a question: Why can two people eat the same amount of food, yet one puts on no weight, while the other gains weight?

Well the answer is your metabolism, or your metabolic rate or basal metabolic rate. What these all refer tolower-bmi is your body’s ability to burn sugars, fat or calories to produce enough energy for your vital functions.

Many diet and exercise programs are focused on your calorie intake and  work on the premise that if you burn more calories than you consume you will lose weight, and this is correct. But if you have slow metabolism then when you slow down on the exercise or don’t stick rigidly to the diet the weight slowly creeps back on and in many cases actually you will put on more than you ever lost.

In this program we provide a Nutritional Information Guide that teaches you how to use foods therapeutically, you wont see a calorie or a point anywhere! You combine the foods you like to make your own meals that meet your health objective. This objective is found out during your assessments and this is your goal for the program, from weight loss to blood pressure or arterial stiffness reduction, it doesn’t matter when you use the guide correctly you will create a new set of healthy eating habits that will carry you forward long after this program has finished.

So back to metabolism, if your metabolism is slow then this can be a problem, so what the Herbal Nutrient element of our program does is supply you with an abundance of metabolism stimulating nutrients that when combined with the foods from our Nutritional Information Guide allow you to produce more cellular energy while at the same time encouraging fat reduction. The reason these are included is simple;

  • They address shortfalls in your current nutritional status.
  • They encourage your body to produce more of what it needs to maintain health.
  • They stimulate many natural processes that may have become under active over time.
  • Your body needs a kick start to encourage it to work better, once it is working you wont need to push as hard.

What about exercise? As part of our program we recommend exercise that is appropriate for where you are when you start this program, if you are a bit of a couch potato then a walk for 20 minutes 3 times per week will do for starters and as you build your fitness you can walk a little further or even go for a run if you want as all of these will help to encourage your metabolic rate and as you increase your exercise your metabolism will increase accordingly. But this program is not about making you into a gym bunny but exercise is important for keeping your heart and arteries healthy as well as weight loss so it is essential in this program but not in the way that you may have been used to in the past.

This program is about your internal health and how it can impact on your external appearance or affect your hair, skin or nails as well as your energy levels, mood and many more areas. To to

 REALLY IMPORTANT

Are you ready to understand why all the weight loss programs you have Read-thistried before haven’t worked?

Are you prepared to take a few minutes from your life to learn the
“WHY”
that has undermined you in the past? If the answer is no then leave this page now and I wish you the very best.

If you answered yes then make sure that you have the time to sit back, focus and learn. Turn off the TV and make yourself a cup of tea and then enjoy what I am about to share with you as the next few minutes could be some of the most significant minutes of your life, they could literally change your future! So if you are ready lets get started…..

Before we even look at making you healthy lets take a look at some of the biggest reasons why every diet plan you have tried and every agonising exercise program that you have endured has failed miserably! For me, it’s simple, if the inside is messed up what do you expect the outside to be like?

When working with my many patients I have ONE VERY IMPORTANT GOAL and that is to empower them with knowledge, give each of my patients a level of understanding that empowers them to take responsibility for their health. So in the next section I will give you a jargon free explanation of how some of our vital systems work and I will explain to you why they are so important.

Your Body

Why They Are Important

Stomach – Small Intestine

Digestive-Organs
These organs are like your engine, they process your food and begin to break it down so that energy can be produced, nutrients can be absorbed and we can feel at our best. So what happens if these begin to malfunction? Well we don’t get enough nutrients and we become sluggish, we won’t want to exercise, we will get food cravings and you guessed it, we will put on weight!

So if we want to lose weight we need to make sure we are is in tip top condition, simple right! Our program is like bringing your car to a garage for a service. We look to restore the essential functions of your body and in doing so you are giving yourself a fighting chance at improving your overall health as well as losing or maintaining a healthy weight!

Food – Sugars

I am not going to bore you with simple carbohydrates, complex carbohydrates, proteins and all that jargon, you can go to every other weight loss program for that. What I will tell you is this, the foods that we eat are broken down into sugars and stored in our bodies. These sugars are used at a cellular level to produce ATP (energy) and it is this energy that makes everything happen.

So if we have the wrong foods, we can’t produce energy but more important than that is that if we cannot regulate our blood sugar levels we become over weight.

More importantly is that if we get spikes or drops in our blood sugar levels we then get food cravings and are more likely to look to that sugary snack to satisfy this sudden need. How many of have had our best weight  loss efforts undermined by these snacks?

Well where our program is unique is that we help to regulate your blood sugar levels and keep your appetite in check. Couple this with a normal diet of nutritious foods that are packed with all your body needs and you have a winning combination!

Heart

Your heart is one very hard working organ, it pumps around 115,000 times per day and without it we simply die. Every beat of your heart is a series of electrical impulses that cause your heart to constrict just like wringing a towel. These electrical impulses are carried by electrolytes which we get from our foods. So what happens when we have a diet that is full of overly processed foods? Well we don’t get enough electrolytes and we can actually damage our heart. If we are nutritionally deficient we can get a lot of problems that will affect our cardio(heart)vascualr(arteries) system.

This can lead us to have increased blood pressure and arterial stiffness. Both of these can kill us!

As part of our comprehensive program we assess your heart and arterial health and use this information when tailoring your weight loss program to meet all your health needs.

Blood – Lymphatic System

More than just red stuff our blood is a carrier, every moment it pumps around our circulatory system and within it is oxygen, nutrients, antibodies and lots of other stuff that keeps us alive. Our Lymphatic system runs parallel our blood in a network of vessels.

When both are working well we receive an abundant supply of everything we need, we can fight diseases all the way up to cancer. However over time our blood accumulates debris, the same applies to our blood and lymph. They can become over burdened with toxins then we begin to suffer ill-health. This is where we need our liver and kidneys functioning optimally so that we can get rid of all this toxicity. But what happens if these toxins cant be gotten rid of? The have to go somewhere, and where the go is our belly and that is why our belly fat is called “Toxic Fat”

Our program looks to help make your blood flow better, take toxins out of your body and unburden your already overworked immune system!

Liver

Without getting too technical I would like to tell you what your amazing liver does every day and you maybe surprised by some of these functions!

  • Removes toxins form our blood and passes them to our colon for excretion
  • Clearing the blood of drugs and other harmful substances
  • Regulating blood clotting
  • Production of bile, which helps carry away waste and break down fats in the small intestine during digestion
  • Production of certain proteins for blood plasma
  • Regulates glucose (sugars) used to produce ATP (energy)
  • Regulates blood pressure
  • Regulates insulin levels (think diabetes)
  • Regulates oestrogen & testosterone
  • Resisting infections by producing immune factors and removing bacteria from the bloodstream
  • Regulates cholesterol production and removal
  • Breaks down haemoglobin as well as insulin and other hormones
  • Conversion of harmful ammonia to urea (urea is one of the end products of protein metabolism that is excreted in the urine)
  • Destroys old red blood cells
  • Clearance of bilirubin (if there is a build up of bilirubin, the skin and eyes turn yellow)

When your liver us overworked, toxic residues can build up, causing inflammation that is associated with obesity as well as aches and pains that just wont go away. A stressed out liver can also cause fat to build up, especially around the belly. Added together, this can mean that no matter how much you restrict calories, weight loss is near impossible—unless you detox your liver.

As part of our program we look to help make your liver function better which contributes to the success you can enjoy when you decide to join us. Think of what it means if all the functions of your liver, listed above, are functioning optimally. I think it is called good health health!

Urine – Sweat – Body Fluids – Cellular Fluids

Just as water cools the engine in your car, our sweat is also part of our bodies efforts at temperature regulation, but when we sweat we lose water from our body and as such we run the risk of dehydration and overheating. As we exercise it increases our metabolism (rate at which we burn calories) and our body produces more waste in the form of water from cells, urea from protein digestion and ketones from burning fat as energy as a result we will urinate more.

Water retention may occur if pressure inside the capillaries changes. Fluid retention is also possible if something occurs that makes the capillary walls too leaky. If something goes wrong with capillary pressure or capillary wall permeability (cell wall becomes too leaky), excess liquid (fluid) will be released into the tissue spaces between cells. If too much fluid is released more and more of it will remain in the tissues, rather than returning to the capillaries, resulting in swelling and water logging (water retention).

An element of our program is designed to regulate the fluids in your body and to increase the diuretic effect.

Kidneys – Bladder

Below I will look at some of the vital functions that your kidneys perform on a daily basis.

  • Waste excretion: There are many things your body doesn’t want inside of it. The kidneys filter out toxins, excess salts, and urea, a nitrogen-based waste created by cell metabolism. Urea is synthesized in the liver and transported through the blood to the kidneys for removal.
  • Water level balancing: As the kidneys are key in the chemical breakdown of urine, they react to changes in the body’s water level throughout the day. As water intake decreases, the kidneys adjust accordingly and leave water in the body instead of helping excrete it.
  • Blood pressure regulation: The kidneys need constant pressure to filter the blood. When it drops too low, the kidneys increase the pressure. One way is by producing a blood vessel-constricting protein (angiotensin) that also signals the body to retain sodium and water. Both the constriction and retention help restore normal blood pressure.
  • Red blood cell regulation: When the kidneys don’t get enough oxygen, they send out a distress call in the form of erythropoietin, a hormone that stimulates the bone marrow to produce more oxygen-carrying red blood cells.
  • Acid regulation: As cells metabolize, they produce acids. Foods we eat can either increase the acid in our body or neutralize it. If the body is to function properly, it needs to keep a healthy balance of these chemicals. The kidneys do that, too.

Adrenal Glands: Sitting above the kidneys are the adrenal glands, which are part of our endocrine system.

  • The adrenal cortex is the outer part of the gland and it produces a hormone called cortisol (hydrocortisone) it regulates how the body converts fats, proteins, and carbohydrates to energy. It also helps regulate blood pressure and cardiovascular function. Another hormone produced by the adrenal cortex is called corticosterone and it works with cortosol to regulate immune response and to suppress inflammatory reactions.
  • The inner part of the glands called the adrenal medulla produce hormones such as adrenaline which is part of our fight or flight response.

So as you can see these two little glands are very significant when it comes to overall health and have a very significant role in weight management.

Part of this program looks to support both normal kidney function as well as regulating hormonal functions.

Large Intestine

The large intestine performs the vital functions of converting food into feces, absorbing essential vitamins produced by gut bacteria, and reclaiming water from feces. As the final part of your digested food moves through the large intestine, bacteria digest substances that are not digestible by the human digestive system.

The large intestine also helps in absorption of vitamins made by bacteria that normally live in the large intestine. These are friendly bacteria called commensal bacteria. There are over 700 species of bacteria that perform a variety of functions.

These commensal bacteria breakdown the undigested polysaccharides or fibers in diet into short-chain fatty acids. These can be absorbed by the large intestine by passive diffusion. The bacteria also produce gas (flatus), which is a mixture of nitrogen and carbon dioxide, with small amounts of the gases hydrogen, methane, and hydrogen sulphide. These result from the bacterial fermentation of undigested polysaccharides.

These bacteria also produce large amounts of vitamins. The most important of these is Vitamin K and Biotin (a B vitamin). When the vitamin intake in diet is low, this can be an important source of these vitamins. A person who depends on absorption of vitamins formed by bacteria in the large intestine may become vitamin deficient if treated with drugs like antibiotics that kill the commensal bacteria.

Reducing acidity and protecting from infections

The mucosa of the large intestine also secretes bicarbonates to neutralise the increased acidity resulting from the formation of these fatty acids and other digestive components at earlier parts of the intestines.

The mucosal layer of the large intestine also acts as a mucosal barrier and protects from microbial infections and invasions.

Producing antibodies

The large intestine, particularly the appendix, is a confluence of several lymphoid tissues. These play an important role in immunity. The lymphoid tissues of the large intestine also help in the production of antibodies and cross reactive antibodies. These antibodies are produced by the immune system against the normal commensal bacteria but may also be active against related harmful bacteria and thus prevent infections.

So as you can see the condition of your large intestine is essential if you want maintain health and is of huge importance if you want to lose or maintain a healthy weight. That is why this program looks to regulate your digestive system and specifically your large intestine.

The Weight Loss Industries Dirty Little Secret!

The Weight Loss industry is worth billions globally! But there is weigh-loss-secretsomething that they know that they aren’t telling you! They know you are destined to fail and in fact they WANT you to fail!

Corporations want you on their plan or their product for life, every month a guaranteed income from you while you struggle to lose weight.

If diet and exercise was all that you need to do then why is obesity a huge problem, why are cancer rates increasing, why are so called healthy people dying of strokes and heart attacks?

The answer is simple, it is because people are focused on the external and are not looking to the internal climate of the body. Before any of us begin to take on addressing our weight issues we first need to look at what’s going on internally. If you can restore your Internal Climate then you can address not only weight problems but many other health problems too.

But what happens if you become healthy?

  • You don’t need to take the supplements!

  • No need to go to your weekly weigh in!

  • No need to pay your monthly subscription to whatever plan you are on!

The bottom line is you will no longer need them and as they say “A patient cured is a customer lost!”

This is where we are different, we actually want you to complete our program and not need us again, yes you heard me correctly, we wont want to see you after you have completed our program!

Might seem a bit strange to hear that but I will tell you why. Our goal is to teach you how to look at your health differently, we want you to take control over your life and when you do you will find that your weight is no longer an issue, you will feel better, more vibrant, more energy and more healthy!

We want you to be our champion, telling your family, your colleagues and your friends about the success your achieved by following our easy to use program! We may say goodbye to you but with you as our champion we will say hello to everyone else you know!

Your Internal Climate

Before you commence our weight loss program we assess your Internal Climate, the health of the very organs that contribute to whether or not you can actually maintain a healthy weight. If your internal organs are not functioning correctly then no amount of diet or exercise will give you the desired results. Yes you may lose weight but as soon as you stop exercising or revert to a normal diet, the weight will come back, often causing you to put on more weight than you had previously!

This is a key component to the success of our program and why you will achieve significant weight improvements at the end of this easy to follow 10 week program!

Your Cardiovascular Health & Weight Loss

Your heart beats approximately 115,200 times per day and your arteries carry the blood around Arterial-Stiffness-Heartyour body that supplies you with the oxygen and nutrients that you need to stay healthy. We assess the health of your heart and arteries before you start our program and the reason is simple.

When you have fat on the outside it is a sign that there could be some major problems on the inside too. If your arteries are clogged up and your blood pressure is elevated then these need to be factored into your program. If you are overweight then your blood pressure could be elevated and that needs to be fixed. But more importantly your arteries may have lost their elasticity and this means that you are at a greater risk of stroke or heart attack but most importantly “The foods you eat might contribute to the problem”

There are many weight loss programs and groups out there Atherosclerosisthat tell you to eat as much fruit as you like while dieting, well they are wrong! If your arteries are hardened then this consumption of fruit may actually make the problem worse! Why you may ask, well one of the biggest contributors to inflammation within our bodies and our arteries is sugar and though fruits are very nutritious they contain sugar in the from of fructose and over consumption may actually contribute to increased arterial stiffness. As such if your arteries have lost their elasticity you need to limit your fruit intake.

Also from the perspective of Chinese Medicine fruits are sweet and cold and their action in the body is to cool (think of where most fruits are grown – hot climates – you don’t see banana trees in Galway ) so they are ideal in hot countries (nature showing us something!). In Traditional Chinese Medical Dietary Therapy sweet and cold foods damage our digestive system and actually contribute to weight gain, so when you join our program we will give you the advice you need that is specific to you and will ultimately help to restore your overall health and support your weight loss efforts!

We assess your cardiovascular health at the beginning of your program and customise your program to address any issues in this area as well as addressing your weight loss needs!

Regulating Your Body & Essential Functions

Every day millions and millions of reactions happen in your body, some are chemical, some are hormonal and some are electrical to name but a few, but they all share something. They are essential for us to stay not only healthy but alive. If any of these reactions aren’t happening then we have a problem!

A unique part of our program is to regulate the systems that influence our overall health as well as assisting in losing weight. We believe that we need to build health from the inside out by restoring your Internal Climate and not the other way around and it is this approach that makes our program so successful!

Combining Normal Diet & Nutritional / Herbal Therapies – The Winning Combination

Once you start eating foods that are going to benefit your weight loss goals, the next step is to make Group-of-Peoplesure that your body is working at its best to support you. We have combined some incredible herbal products into this program that will support the repair of your body, improve your health and aid in your weight loss goals.

For the 10 weeks of this program you will support your body by using totally natural, organic herbal products and at the end of the program your new eating habits will be well established and if you have stuck with the program you will feel some dramatic improvements in your health as well as seeing the results on the scales.

By regulating how your body works using natural herbal products and teaching you how to eat a normal diet that is focused in your Internal Climate you can take control of many aspects of your health including managing your weight!

A Long Term Eating Solution That Gives You Control”

If you ask most people what their diet is like they will tell you it’s good, if that were actually the case Weight-Loss-Program-For-Allthen why are these people who have “Good” diets struggling with their weight? Well the answer is their perception of their diet is good. This, I am afraid is a totally biased view on how they view their diet. It is based upon what they grew up eating, the new habits they acquired when they married or the latest fad that they read in a magazine or on-line. Each of us think that we eat well and it is only when we educate ourselves about foods and what we consume do we actually see the truth. As part of the work I do with my patients and clients I teach them about the foods they are eating on a daily basis that are actually undermining their health. I have worked with nutritionists who thought their diet was perfect and vegetarians who were astounded to see the damage that life had caused to their internal health, yet they were eating a “good” diet,

The problem is not in the food and what these people were eating was “Technically Correct” but totally incorrect for their bodies and their specific Internal Climate! If I want to paint a wall I wont use a scraper, it’s meant for a different purpose, I will bring a brush and if I want to help someone address a health problem I need to tackle it head on with the right tools for the job! This is what I do on a daily basis in my clinic and that’s why my patients and clients enjoy the results they get when they follow the advice they receive! I work with everything from pain to cardiovascular health and beyond and the methodology is the same, restore the Internal Climate to fight disease by building health from the inside out and not the other way around! By using this approach it is possible to tackle even the most complex cases and achieve amazing success, the same applies to this program and the results you can achieve, but to do this we need to do something and that is …….

Changing Your Perceptions

If you are struggling with your weight but think that you are eating well, then you probably are in fact eating well, but it’s well for someone else and not for you and your health objectives! This is Natural-Weight-Loss-Programwhere we help you to learn what you need to eat that will have a dramatic impact on your health and weight loss goals and we do this in the back of the information we get during your assessment!

We don’t believe that you should lose weight by restricting your diet and living on ridiculously low portions, which by the way is called starvation and will actually cause you to put on weight later on!

There are so many different diets that are available that claim to be the holy grail of weight loss. Where they all get it wrong is that they make you change dramatically from the foods that you know and are familiar with and should you eat a normal diet again you will pile on the weight again and that’s why they fail miserably!

There are  programs out there that claim you will lose weight in 9-10 days and technically that may be true, I broke my neck in 1996 and lost three stones in two weeks while in a Spanish hospital – is that healthy weight loss or starvation?

The key to health isn’t short term weight loss, it’s focused and sustained nutrition over the course of your life that supports your body and provides you with all the nutrients that your body needs to keep you healthy and fight disease as well as maintain a healthy weight! But when I say focused I mean just that, it needs to be focused on your Internal Climate and not a one shoe fits all approach!

Our program teaches you how to choose foods that you are familiar with so that you improve your overall health while eating normal sensible portions. We teach you how to combine the foods that you are already familiar with to meet your health objective and will help to restore your Internal Climate! We don’t believe in calorie or point counting, we believe that a sensible diet that encompasses the foods that are available in your local supermarket is all that you need to achieve a long term weigh management solution.

Not All Foods Are Equal!

I am sure that you have heard of Vitamins, Minerals & Amino Acids, so if you are familiar with these terms then you know that for example an orange has more Vitamin C than cabbage for example – Correct?

Well without blinding you with science of baffling you with Bull Sh*t you already know that not all foods are the same. It is this principle that we embody in our program. If you want to achieve a result you have to use the foods that you eat strategically (scraper and paint brush). Different foods have different effects on the body. Lets say for example Cabbage and Oranges, well lets look at what they do;

Cabbage Oranges
  • Increased Immune Function
  • Reduced Risk of Colon Cancer
  • Protection Against Heart Disease
  • Slowing Aging
  • DNA Repair and Protection
  • Alleviation of Cardiovascular Disease
  • Alleviation of Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
  • Alzheimer’s Protection
  • Osteoporosis Protection
  • Stroke Prevention
  • Antioxidant Protection
  • Prevention of Epileptic Seizures
  • Prevention of Alopecia (Spot Baldness)
  • Cabbage is known to contain powerful antioxidants which can help reduce the risk of cancer, and breast cancer in particular. Cabbage also contains an amino acid called glutamine which is highly anti-inflammatory and effective in treating peptic acid ulcers.
  • Increased Immune Function
  • Reduced Risk of Colon Cancer
  • Protection Against Heart Disease
  • Slowing Aging
  • DNA Repair and Protection
  • Alleviation of Cardiovascular Disease
  • Alleviation of Hypertension (High Blood Pressure)
  • Alzheimer’s Protection
  • Osteoporosis Protection
  • Stroke Prevention
  • Antioxidant Protection
  • Increased Protection from Bacterial and Viral Infections
  • Flavanones found in oranges are believed to have anti-inflammatory properties. The flavanones also help to lower blood pressure, and cholesterol.

As you can see from the above table, both share some beneficial functions but they also have some real differences. It is based upon these differences that we can use foods therapeutically and we have embodied this information in our proprietary Nutritional Information Guide that you will use when you join our program.

Using this guide and the assessments we provide at the beginning of our program we teach you how to choose from foods you are familiar to restore your health. We call this “Going from Bad Choices to Informed Decisions” You will learn how to combine foods that meet your specific health needs as well as achieving your overall weight management or weight loss objectives! When used in this way you are not restricted in the foods you eat and you don’t have to worry about impossible meal plans that you never will stick to, no counting points and no feeling restricted. This puts you in the driver’s seat and gives you total control over what you want to eat!

What’s Included In This Comprehensive Program

Organ Functional Assessment

We will complete a “Non Invasive” yet “Comprehensive Organ Function Assessment”  which gives us a clear indication of how the organs and systems that are involved in weight management are functioning. This aspect of the assessment allows us our first look at your Internal Climate and we will use this information as part of the customisation of your Weight Loss Program.

Cardiovascular Health Assessment

When you join this program you will be provided with a comprehensive cardiovascular health assessment where we will look at the current status of your heart and arterial health. The technology we use was voted “The Most Clinically Applicable Device by  European Society of Cardiology in 2014” We assess the following areas;

  • Peripheral Blood Pressure

  • Central Aortic Blood Pressure

  • Arterial Stiffness

  • Heart Rhythm Functionality

  • Pulse Rate Assessment

  • Vascular Age Equivalence Test

It is based upon this clinical information that we will build your tailored program.

Baseline Body Assessment

Next we will assess your current weight indicators which include;

  • Height
  • Weight
  • Body Mass Index
  • Body Fat Content
  • Body Muscle Mass
  • Body Water Content
  • Body Bone Mass
  • Basal Metabolic Rate

These will be used at the end of the program to assess your success across all these variables.

Unique Nutritional Information Guide

Why Do Diet Plans Fail?

This may seem like a big question but the answer is simple! But before I answer it I want to ask you to think. How do you feel when you are told what you can or cannot do? Do you feel happy or do you feel restricted? If you have been struggling with your weight for a while you already know what you shouldn’t eat so why should someone patronise you by telling you that you MUST eat this on Monday and that on Tuesday and so on. What happens when you reach your target weight? Well if you are like most people you will slowly slip back into the bad habits that caused the problem in the first place, do I hear someone say Yo Yo Diets?

Well when I created this program I created our Nutritional Information Guide as a way to address many different health issues and as such it needed to do a number of things;

  • Specifically target problem areas

  • It needed to do it effectively

  • It needed to have a sound basis in evidence

  • It needed to be simple and easy to use

It wasn’t a simple task let me tell you but more importantly it needed to provide a long term solution and not just be a fad (Yo Yo) diet!

So why is this approach unique?

I need you to think for a moment, if I was to give you a list of meal plans, with meals listed for every day of the week how would you feel? Pretty good maybe!weight-loss-for-women-3 But what happens when you need to go to a restaurant, a friends house or on holiday, aaaggghhhhh, the meal plan goes out the window! Why do you think this will happen? Well again it is blatantly obvious and I don’t know why people didn’t cotton on to this before now.

When you take on a meal plan, a diet or some other plan that tells you that you must only eat this, avoid that and other things you relinquish control and you are letting someone else dictate your life and if you are in any way like me then you won’t like it, yes you will go along with it for a while and then bang you will wake up one day and it will be thrown out the window! You will justify your actions to yourself, you will tell yourself that you will start again tomorrow or you will make up any excuse you can to justify why you have fallen off the wagon.

So what I did was cut through all the jargon, technical terms and other bull and create a guide that puts YOU in control of the foods you eat, You choose what you want, You choose when you want to eat it and all that we do is guide you in the right direction!

Our Nutritional Information Guide cuts through the carbohydrates, complex carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals, trace elements, amino acids and other jargon and tells you what the food will do for YOU. Then you choose what you want to eat, you build your recipes using foods that specifically target your problem area!

If you are carrying excess weight then there are likely to be more problem areas that you are not even aware of and that’s what our initial assessments are for, they assess your Internal Climate and with this information we specifically target these problem areas and this program effectively addresses these issues!

From Bad Choices To Informed Decisions – A Long Term Health Solution.

Where this program is totally unique is that it teaches you how to use foods therapeutically and over the duration if this program you will develop a whole new way of looking at foods, you will go from making Bad Choices To Informed Decisions. You will use our Nutritional Information Guide initially to make your choices of the foods you will eat, but after time you will replace your bad habits with a whole new set good habits that will carry you into the future.

Herbal Nutritional Supplementation

A key component of our program is to begin to regulate the systems that your body depends upon to maintain health and it is when these systems don’t function correctly that we begin to put on weight that just wont shift. Until we restore correct function, no matter how much exercise you take or reduce your calorie intake you will be destined to failure.

Over the course of this program you will take totally natural herb based products that will begin to restore your Internal Climate and as you adjust your diet using our Nutritional Information Guide your will begin to address many of your health issues and as such your potential to lose weight will increase.

Included in this program is a combination of 46 different Natural Herbs and plant based vitamins, specifically chosen to support your body for the 10 weeks of this program!

The goal of this program is to restore healthy functions within your body so to do this we need to provide you with an abundance of nutrients that kick start the repair process. Upon completion of this program your body will be functioning at a higher level and you will no longer need to supplement your diet with these nutrients as your diet will be addressing your health needs.

Below I will discuss a small selection of some of the powerful herbs we use that support your body and make this program so effective;

Garcinia Cambogia

A small fruit that resembles a miniature pumpkin. It is indigenous to India and parts of Asia. The active extract called hydroxycitric acid (HCA), from its fruit and rind is popular in many natural weight loss products. It is used to suppress appetite and enhance fat burning. The theory behind garcinia cambogia is that HCA inhibits a enzyme called citrate lyase that helps to turn excess carbohydrates into fat. By inhibiting this enzyme, the body boosts carbohydrate oxidation i.e. it burns up the extra carbohydrates. In some double-blind studies using garcinia cambogia or a placebo, the HCA group doubles or triples their weight loss results over a 12 week period as compared to the control group.

Raspberryweight-loss-for-women-4

Raspberries in general have long been known for their health-promoting benefits, but more specifically, raspberry ketones (a natural compound and powerful fat-burning hormone in these berries) can help burn body fat by: increasing lipolysis (fat breakdown); helping to increase the rate at which calories are burned; and helping to increase fat loss as part of a balanced diet. It is also worth noting that raspberries have a molecular structure that is similar to the structure of capsaicin, a component of capsicum – see above – accounting for their powerful thermogenic properties.

Kelp

Kelp is a type of large brown seaweed (algae) – a natural food that is very low in cholesterol and is a good source of dietary fibre, amino acids, riboflavin, vitamin C, vitamin K, pantothenic acid, zinc, copper, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium and manganese.

Most notably, kelp is a rich, natural source of iodine which can provide adequate levels to stimulate a sluggish thyroid and encourage a healthy metabolism.

An efficient metabolism is key for maintaining ideal body weight. Your metabolism, which is regulated by your thyroid gland, is the part of your body responsible for the way you use energy and burn calories; and iodine is the catalyst that can jump-start metabolic processes. The thyroid gland absorbs iodine, which is usually obtained through diet or supplementation, and subsequently releases the hormones that control metabolic function.

Vitamin B6

This vitamin is required for: blood and haemoglobin formation; calcium and magnesium metabolism; conversion of glycogen to glucose (to be used as energy); energy production; metabolism of foods (protein, carbohydrates and fats); and zinc absorption. It has been included for energy production and as a mild diuretic.

Siberian ginseng

This herb is considered to be an adaptogen – a substance that can help individuals to cope with physical and emotional stress. Ginseng is also widely used in eastern Asia to increase the ability to do physical work (i.e. it is used as a natural energiser). Helps to stabilise blood sugar and reduce cravings for sweet foods.

Glucomannan

This is a sugar made from the root of the konjak plant, which has been used for centuries in traditional Japanese cooking as a thickener or gelling agent. It is so renowned in Japan that it is widely referred to as the “broom of the intestines”. Glucomannan acts to create a sense of fullness (without leaving you feeling gassy or bloated) by absorbing water and expanding to form a bulky fibre in your stomach. It can therefore assist with appetite control and the regulation of cravings. When consumed, glucomannan also “sponges” up water in the digestive tract, reducing the absorption of carbohydrates and cholesterol and thus supporting weight loss.

Juniper Berry

Very effective diuretic – in the 1500’s a Dutch pharmacist formulated a new and cheap diuretic which he called gin. This drink caught on for obvious reasons (in combination with other ingredients). Juniper has been used for centuries as a remedy for urinary-tract problems including urinary retention, bladder inflammation & gallstones, gout as well as arthritis.

Juniper increases urine flow and destroys bacteria in the kidneys and bladder. Can prevent crystallisation of uric acid in the kidney, holding it in solution until passed in the urine. Juniper is an excellent blood cleanser and can also strengthen a weak stomach and improve digestion. The British Pharmacopoeia lists Juniper as a urinary tract disinfectant. The volatile oils in Juniper Berries destroy bacteria.

I have discussed a small selection of the 46 herbs and plant based vitamins that are provided when you join this program. Some you may be familiar with but some of the others are so special that I wont discuss them here but when you join this program we will provide you with information on all the herbal products used and then you will see just how powerful they are and why they will contribute to an overall improvement in your Internal Climate as well as helping you to achieve the weight you have always wanted!

Are You Ready To Take Control of Your Health & Lose Weight?
